Our Library has four types of memberships: Family, Organisation, Postal, and Mobile. The following explanations of each will help you to choose which membership best suits your needs. Once you decide, go back to the Join Our Library page to see what you can borrow within that membership and which fee applies to you. Then you can click on one of the membership forms, print it out, fill in the details and fax it to us a Noah's Ark on 08 9375 9802.
For families of children with disabilities, you can join the mobile membership and have your toys delivered to your home twice per school term (see our mobile services schedule here); or the family membership which enables you to visit the library to make your selections. Items are generally borrowed for one month at a time.
The advantage of visiting the library with your child is that you and your child can trial the toys or items before you select them. You can also get knowledgeable advice from our helpful staff on the particular needs of your child and the toys that may best match those needs. As a member of our library, you and your child can make an appointment with our on-site Occupational Therapist (Thursdays only) to obtain her professional assistance with choosing the most appropriate resources for your child.
Organisations can include schools, child care centres, respite centres, community playgroups, My Time groups and more. Toys and resources for children with special needs are very expensive. A membership with Noah's Ark is a cost effective way of supplying developmental toys to children with disabilities without having to buy them. We cater to widely differing needs and levels of development. We are particularly interested in assisting with early intervention and have a range of toys and resources that can be used while families are waiting for a formal diagnosis. And best of all, the toys will be delivered to you.
Our postal service is available to families and organisations almost anywhere in Western Australia. And all the toys and resources shown on this web site can be sent to you via our postal service.
The Noah’s Ark Therapy Services Resources have been funded by a grant from the Non- Government Centre Support Non – School Organisations (NGCS). Membership is free until 31st December 2012 for Allied Health Professionals who are employed by any of the eight partner organisations. Membership fees will apply for these organisations from 31 December 2012.
Cost of Membership for Therapy Service Providers is dependent on the number of therapists working at an organisation and provides unlimited toys or resources for demonstration purposes (not to be on-loan), as well as 2 assessments at a time and delivery via the mobile service if within 350Km of Perth.
