Our Library has five types of memberships: Family, Organisation, Postal, Mobile and Therapist. The following explanations of each will help you to choose which membership best suits your needs. Once you decide, go back to the Join Our Library page to see what you can borrow within that membership and which fee applies to you. Then you can click on the membership form, print it out, fill in the details and email it to us at enquiries@noahsarkwa.org.au
For families of children with disabilities (no formal diagnoses is required), you can join the mobile membership and have your toys delivered to your home twice per school term (see our mobile services schedule here); or the family membership which enables you to visit the library to make your selections. Items are generally borrowed for one month at a time.
The advantage of visiting the library with your child is that you and your child can trial the toys or items before you select them. You can also get knowledgeable advice from our helpful staff on the particular needs of your child and the toys that may best match those needs. As a member of our library, you and your child can make an appointment with our on-site Occupational Therapist (Thursdays only) to obtain her professional assistance with choosing the most appropriate resources for your child.
Organisations can include schools, child care centres, respite centres, community playgroups, My Time groups and more. Toys and resources for children with special needs are very expensive. A membership with Noah's Ark is a cost effective way of supplying developmental toys to children with disabilities without having to buy them. We cater to widely differing needs and levels of development. We are particularly interested in assisting with early intervention and have a range of toys and resources that can be used while families are waiting for a formal diagnosis. And best of all, the toys will be delivered to you.
