New toys to the value of $20,000 were recently donated from the proceeds of All Ford Day to Noah’s Ark to aid the development of children with special needs.
All Ford Day is held bi-annually by the GT Falcon Owners’ and Mustang Owners’ Clubs. At All Ford Day, hundreds of classic Fords are on display and the event attracts large crowds of Ford enthusiasts and their families. The proceeds of the day are donated to a charity of choice.
Noah’s Ark was the beneficiary of the most recent All Ford Day and the donated funds have been used to expand its lending library’s selection of specialised developmental toys.
As well as a selection of hundreds of toys, Noah’s Ark provides specialised resources, educational programmes and consulting services to children and young people with specials needs and their families, carers, schools and therapists.
Executive Officer of Noah’s Ark, Linda Oborne, said that, “Without the help of organisations like those behind All Ford Day, we couldn’t possibly provide the wide range of services that we are now able to make available to our many clients across WA.”
According to Linda, the amount of toys that have been donated will mean there is a much wider selection and availability of toys for children and families.
“Our toys are in high demand not only in Perth but also in most regional and remote areas of the State. We deliver toys to all these areas through our regular mobile service and now we have enough toys to ensure families won’t miss out,” Linda said.
